All Hunters:
1 Sleeping Bag
May, June – rated to “30″ degrees
August, September – rated to “10″ degrees
October, November – rated to “0″ degrees
1pair wool or comparable cold weather trousers
1 warm coat or parka
2 Hats – stocking and ball cap / Stetson
2 pair of jeans
2 changes of thermal underwear
2 shirts – wool or flannel
6 pair of warm socks
2 pair boots – insulated & light hiking (preferably waterproof)
I set of quality rain gear (as quiet as possible)
2 pair warm waterproof gloves
Compact flashlight and spare batteries
Binoculars and or spotting scope
Hunting Knife
Unbreakable canteen
Waterproof matches
Space blanket
Day pack or fanny pack
2-4 large garbage bags for dirty clothes, etc.
4 heavy duty game bags
Archery Hunters:
In addition to the gear above please bring thefollowing.
Camo paint or head net
Hard case for bow (for plane / car travel)
Bow sling or scabbard (for horse travel)
Tool/tackle box with:
Extra bow string
Compound bow stringer
Pliers
Extra string hardware (peeps, kissers, silencers, etc.)
Extra release
Broadheads (no mechanicals allowed)
At least a dozen arrows
Judo points for camp practice
Commercial hard case for arrows (or 2″ pvc with cap & clean out works just me)
